Cert III in Hospitality – Commercial Cookery (or Equivalent)
A Certificate III in Hospitality, with a focus on Commercial Cookery, or a similar qualification will be highly regarded.
Understanding of Healthcare Food Standards
Familiarity with healthcare food standards is beneficial, as it ensures that the meals meet the dietary and nutritional requirements of residents.

Meal Preparation: Prepare nutritious and delicious meals that meet the dietary needs of patients or residents, including special diets (low-salt, gluten-free, etc.).
Menu Planning: Assist in planning balanced menus, ensuring variety and dietary requirements are met.
Food Safety & Hygiene: Adhere to strict food safety regulations, maintaining high hygiene standards in food preparation and kitchen areas.
Kitchen Management: Oversee kitchen operations, including stock management, food ordering, and ensuring all equipment is well-maintained.
Team Collaboration: Work alongside other kitchen staff to ensure meals are delivered on time and to the highest quality standards.
